The Electric City have the image of a bunch of dirty
rockers but the sound of a promising up and coming
rock band. The band spent December touring with
Orson and are now due to step out on tour with Elliot
Minor, now you are probably thinking Orson and Elliot
Minor sound nothing alike, one band are indie and
the other are poppy punk, well to add more confusion
to that, The Electric City sound nothing like either
band and instead have their own electronic rock
sound.
'Dark Skies' is the bands second single release
and is once again a download only single, The
song relies heavily on aggressive sounding guitar
riffs and rocking electronic disco beats, along
with Andy Taylor's dirty yet catchy sounding vocals,
the song is bound to go down well and the bands
gigs will fill the floors of rock clubs if the
DJ's ever dare to play it.
With a sound like this it makes you wonder why
you are not hearing more about The Electric City,
they certainly have a huge sound and hopefully
the release of 'Dark Skies' and their support
slot on the Elliot Minor tour will open peoples
ears and eyes to The Electric City.
4/5
