The Rifles already have a huge fan base but are going to take 2008 by
storm if their new song 'Talking' is anything to go by, the song is a
taster of what to expect from the bands forthcoming second album, the
song is available as a free download on the bands website.
I don’t normally review free download singles but I am making an
exception for this as 'Talking' is one of the best songs I have heard
in a long time. The song starts off with a huge guitar riff that wouldn’t
feel to out of place on an Audioslave song and then suddenly the guitar
work goes into a fast punk riff and the ska sounding vocals aren’t
too far behind giving the song a feel of The Clash mixed with The Jam.
Head over to The Rifles website straight away and check out this song
as it’s simply outstanding. 2008 is surely going to be a great year
for The Rifles with album number 2 due out in March and a stack of tour
dates to back up the release.
