Everyone seems to have a band that they really can’t stand and every
time the band comes on the radio the radio is soon switched off and when
the band come on TV the channel is changed within minutes, well for me
that band is Maroon 5 and has been since they released their debut album
'Songs About Jane', the band have since gone on and released their second
studio album 'It Won't Be Soon Before Long' with everyone claiming that
the bands sound has changed for the better, but after taking time to listen
to the bands new single 'Won't Go Home Without You' I would have to totally
disagree.
'Won't Go Home Without You' is one of them laid back rock songs that does
nothing what so ever for rock music, the song is full of chilled out piano
chords and frontman Adam's vocals really seem to grate, the song does
pick up a bit for the chorus but it seems all too late leaving the song
with a really average feel.
I’m not quite sure how Maroon 5 have got as successful as they are,
but they must be doing something right for them to have such a big fan
base but I can’t see 'Won't Go Home Without You' bringing the band
many more fans in as it is the kind of song you would listen to as a bit
of backing music but you wouldn’t find much enjoyment out of it.
2/5
