Finally. A song with something new. A song with a glimpse of hope that
not everything in the same genre has to sound the same. The Automatic
can be classed as indie, but the vocals have a bit of oomph about them,
and some screamy (verging on whiney) backing vocals add to this sound
that the band have come up with. I'm not saying they're come up with something
totally new, but it's definitely a breath of fresh air.
And if it doesn't grab you straight away, it most certainly will, and
won't take long. It's a song with attitude, without being offensive, in
your face, or loud. It's relatively laid-back, and easy to listen to,
yet still has the drum and bass rhythms that just make you nod or tap
along.
These are a band worth following, and I look forward to track their progress,
praying that the general public will be as wowed as I have been.
