Kate Nash is one of them artists around at the moment that you can’t
hide from because whenever you turn on the TV or put the radio on 'Foundations'
is sure to be played within twenty minutes of tuning in. 'Foundations'
was released well over three months ago and the song is still going strong
in the UK top 40 singles chart sitting in at number 19 which proves just
how popular Kate Nash is despite being an artist you either love or hate.
At the start of October, Kate Nash is releasing her second single 'Mouthwash'
from her extremely successful debut album 'Made Of Bricks' and it’s
pretty much guaranteed that Kate Nash will have both singles in the UK
top 40 singles chart at the same time which is some achievement.
'Mouthwash' is another great powerful catchy pop song and is a bit of
a protest song that comes from the confusion of youth. The song is totally
upbeat and is driven around a nice piano piece and just like 'Foundations'
once you hear this song a couple of times it will be stuck in your head
for the rest of the year.
I’m pretty sure 'Mouthwash' is going to storm to the top of the
UK top 40 singles chart as the song is just as good as 'Foundations',
if not better once you start to get into it. I doubt the song is going
to bring Kate Nash any new fans in as I’m sure everybody has made
their mind up about her music now, but I’m sure it’s not going
to worry Kate considering how successful she has been so far.
