Single

This is the kind of thing that would go down well today. It totally sums
up the era we're in, when kinds will run around with glow-sticks and paint
themselves fluorescent pink in the name of indie-rave, and with this in
mind, Robots in Disguise have thrown together this single, jumping on
the bandwagon that was started rolling by groups like CSS. Featuring electro
beats, this single comprises mainly of a female voice singing what has
made her stupid as a fast pace (including sex and tequila,) and then I
kind of phased out during the verses. It's not very interesting, and with
the sound they've got, there's part of me that thinks this has been released
to take the mick and prove how easy it is to get a song out these days.
Sadly, someone's going to love it. They really will. And that's how they've
established a 3 out of 5.
On the single, come six remixes of the single, and in my opinion the best
two are "The Dub Has Made Me Stupid Mr Trick Mix" and "Stupid
Sex - Midfield General Mix," because they don't really feature the
lead vocal throughout, and mainly focus on the music. With hard hitting
beats and electro techno synths, they're the kind of remixes that Soulwax
would churn out. Happy days.
3/5
