Hackney based band the King Blues released their album 'Under The Fog'
back in 2006 on Household Name Records and are currently working on re-releasing
the album on their new record label Field/Island records later this year
with many of the tracks re-worked. The band have decided to release 'Come
Fi Di Youth' as their debut single release.
'Come Fi Di Youth' is a slow ska song sounding ever so slightly like the
legendary now departed ska-punk band King Prawn. The King Blues display
quite an angry sound in 'Come Fi Di Youth' and the song has a political
theme like most of the bands songs do.
The King Blues seem to be doing pretty well for themselves with appearances
at most major UK festivals this summer including the Carling Weekend Reading
and Leeds festival and a chance to re-release their album better than
ever on a major record label can only mean better things for the band.
