Shiny Toys Guns are back in the UK in August to play the Carling weekend
Reading and Leeds festivals and the band will release a new single 'Rainy
Monday' a few days before their shows at the festival. 'Rainy Monday'
is the third single release from the bands debut album 'We Are Pilots'
and hopes to follow on the success of the bands previous infectious single
'You Are the One' but taking on a more laid back approach.
'Rainy Monday' is a lot different from the bands previous single release,
the synths are more chilled out but build up nicely in pace as the song
goes on and vocalist Chad Petree's strong vocals really does wonders for
this song, making it quite a catchy yet a mellow chill out song.
It’s hard to follow on the success of 'You Are The One' as it was
the best song on the Shiny Toy Guns album but I think it’s a good
choice to release 'Rainy Monday' as a single as it is one of the strongest
laid back songs on the bands album.
4/5
