Don’t you just hate it when you read the press release to a cd and
it describes the song as one of the best songs ever and a track that you
will instantly fall in love with? Well this is exactly what the press
release for the new Goldspot single said and I seem to think that I am
missing something as I have far from fallen in love with this track.
'Friday' starts off with a bit of a classic music sound like something
you would hear on the antique road show, shortly after Sid's boring vocals
come in, the song does pick up towards the end but still does nothing
for me. The band lack energy and are too mellow and boring for my liking.
People who are into the more depressing side of indie might find this
song quite appealing but it does nothing for me what so ever as it has
no get up and go and is certain to put me to sleep if I keep listening.
1.5/5
