Interpol have just released their third studio album 'Our Love To Admire'
which they recorded in New York City with themselves and Rich Costey on
production duties. The band have decided to release 'The Heinrich Maneuver'
as the first single from the album and in my mind it’s a good choice.
'The Heinrich Maneuver' is a really infectious American sounding indie
song that just shows how far Interpol have come since the release of their
previous album three years ago. The song sneers at things on the west
coast and starts off with lyrics of "How are things on the west coast"
before the music comes in and from that moment everything sounds in place
and extremely catchy and radio friendly.
Interpol seem to be more mature, tighter, bigger and louder sounding.
The release of the bands new single seems to be the start of a good year
for Interpol with some of their biggest shows in the UK just been announced
including main stage shows at some of the biggest festivals Across the
UK. 'The Heinrich Maneuver' is a great taster from the bands album that
you should expect a review of shortly.
