Elliot Minor have been on a successful journey since they formed back
in 2005, but it’s been 2007 that has been the bands most successful
year yet with the band playing on the Dimebag Darrell stage at the Download
festival back in June and just finishing off a two month long sold out
headline tour. The bands debut single 'Parallel Worlds' has sold over
10,000 copies and entered the UK singles chart at 31 stayed in the top
100 for 4 weeks. The band are currently putting the finishing touches
to their debut album which will be released towards the end of the year,
but in the meantime the band are releasing their second single 'Jessica'.
'Jessica' is a song that the band wrote after spending a night watching
Jessica Alba movies and coming to the conclusion that she is hot. The
song reminds me slightly of 'Parallel Worlds' mainly due to the piano
piece running through the song, the song is catchy but rocking at the
same time and will stick in your head for days to come.
You can’t deny that Elliot Minor are talented musicians with two
very catchy, well produced singles now under their belts and a debut album
in the works, I’m sure bigger and better things are still to come
once the album is released and if so, we are going to be in for a treat.
4/5
