Hundred Reasons have had a few bad years; their second album 'Shatterproof
Is Not A Challenge' flopped and the band then found themselves dropped
from their label. But now they are back and signed to a new label and
with a new album 'Kill Your Own' which comes with a totally new sound
for the band.
As soon as you hear the opening track 'Broken Hands' you can tell the
band's sound has changed for the better and they sound a lot heavier than
before. The next song is the title track from the album which is also
the bands new single 'Kill Your Own' which is simply stunning and very
melodic and gets better after every listen. Track number three 'Destroy'
has an extremely catchy chorus, infact most songs on this album have.
'Live Fast, Die Ugly' is the stand out track on the album; its a totally
hardcore song with heavy riffs and screaming vocals. The album comes down
a notch or two for 'This Mess' which is the slowest song on the album
and has some stunning lyrics.
The album has been produced by Guitarist 'Larry Hibbitt' who has done
an awesome job at getting the album to sound the way it does.
It's been worth the wait; Hundred Reasons are back better than ever the
album is 11 tracks long and each track is awesome and cant be faulted.
If you doubted the band over the past few years I think you are going
to be impressed and shocked about how good 'Kill Your Own' really is.
5/5
