The Klaxons have done a cover of the classic 90's dance floor song 'It's
Not Over Yet' and are about to release it as a single. The song is already
a live favourite with the bands fans and having just got back from playing
Glastonbury Festival where the band played to thousands of people, there
really couldn’t be a better time to release this single.
'It's Not Over Yet' is a perfect cover and as good as the original, if
not better, the song mixes indie and dance together with a few sirens
added in for good effect and the vocals really shine. The sad thing is
the song is a lot better than most of the songs on the Klaxons debut album
'Myths Of The Near Future' and it’s not normally a good thing that
a cover song is the best song.
Without a doubt 'It's Not Over Yet' is going to be the anthem of the
summer especially with the Klaxons playing most UK festivals this summer
with appearances at T in the Park and the Carling weekend Reading and
Leeds still to come.
4/5
