New Yorkers The Bravery return after two years in the wilderness, not
trying to fix what wasn’t broken, just reshuffling it around a little
bit for forthcoming album ‘The sun and the Moon’.
From first listen it is clear this will sit perfectly on Radio 1’s
play list, Sam Endicott’s vocals are still pained and strained;
the sound is still electronica driven and full of poptastic hooks and
layers, plodding bass lines and synths.
Time wont let me Go isn’t an obvious comeback single, down trodden
and slightly understated, but what it does do is highlight the band’s
new direction, gone is the make-up and pouting (kind of) and it seems
The Bravery are here to stay as a force to be reckoned with, not as an
advert for hair products and eyeliner.
