Strange release date seeing as the ‘So This Is Great Britain’
album hit the shelves in the latter part of 2006, which for the record
I was hugely optimistic about at the time, my guess is that the record
company was waiting for the week and a half of sunshine to be in full
swing before unleashing this summertime sing a long. Catchy as hell and
upbeat, highlighting the best bits of youth and happy memories, there
is nothing to dislike about this song. The Holloways combine the summery
hooks of the Kooks, the energy of The Cribs with the vocal harmonies of
The Libertines. Its one of the best songs on the album and a great choice
of single. Let’s hope this propels The Holloways into the ‘household
name’ category they deserve to be in.
4/5
