Scotland's Driveby Argument have been on the music scene since they formed
back in late 2004 and in the near three years the band have been together,
they have supported Panic at The Disco to a sold out Brixton Academy crowd,
have just finished their second headline UK tour and recently opened up
the Tuborg stage at Download Festival which marks the start of the bands
summer as they have more festival shows lined up.
The band are just about to release their second single 'Sex Lines Are
Expensive Comedy' which is a well written, well produced song that is
quite dark yet catchy, totally filled to the brim with energy and full
of aggressive guitars and some upbeat dance synth sounds that run for
the course of the song. The b-side 'Dennistown's That Way' is more of
a whiney indie song that shows a totally different side of Driveby Argument.
To be honest, I’m pretty new to Driveby Argument but I really love
what I have heard so far and I believe good things are going to happen
to them before the year is out. Yeah they may be doing what every new
indie band seems to be doing nowadays mixing guitars with dance synths
to come up with their own sound but Driveby Argument seem to be doing
it better than the rest and stick out a lot more in my opinion.
4/5
