Doll's House are a four piece band from London and have taken their name
from an 1879 play by Norwegian playwright, Henrik Ibsen, the band have a
pop, punk, rock sound about them that is going to appeal to a wide range
of people.
The bands EP starts off with 'My Love', which is a really upbeat song
that is totally full of energy and is easily the most powerful song on
this release. Camilla's vocals are so catchy and strong 'My Love' will
leave you wanting more and more of Doll's House. 'Don’t Be Afraid'
starts off totally different than the previous song and has mellow backing
music with Camilla's strong but slow vocals leading the show almost making
you want to grab your lighter and wave it in the air like you was watching
the band live. The song does pick up towards the end when the bass, guitar
and drums kick in. 'Maybe' starts off with Cenk Aksun playing a chilling
piece on the keyboard and Camilla's vocals sitting perfectly over the
top. The ep finishes with 'Girls and Boys' and before you ask, no it’s
not a cover of the poppy Good Charlotte song but is an upbeat song that
has a real electro feel about it and such a strong sing a long chorus.
Doll's House are a really interesting band and lead Vocalist Camilla
Romestrand seems full of confidence with her strong vocals and oozes with
sex appeal that will have men and women falling over at her feet. Doll's
Houses sound so good and energetic on cd it will be interesting to see
the energy they put into their live performance.
4/5
