The Horrors have built up quite a fan base and are making a good name for
themselves at the moment but I still don’t understand what all the
fuss is about. I have given the band a fair chance and listened to their
album many times over but they have a sound that you are either going to
love or hate and I am far from loving it. Anyway, the band are releasing
'She Is the New Thing' as their single and is taken from their debut album
'Strange House' which was released back in March.
'She Is The New Thing' is a song that never appealed to me when I reviewed
the bands album back in March and still doesn’t appeal to me now,
the song is mainly driven by a catchy organ piece which soon gets joined
by some heavy guitar riffs and Faris Rotter's vocals sung loudly over
the top.
I will admit The Horrors are a unique band and are good at what they
do, but their sound just doesn’t appeal to me, but as long as they
can maintain to keep their fan base happy they will have a bright future.
2/5
