The Ripps have not long released their debut album 'Long Live The Ripps'
and are ready to release their new single 'Holiday' in the middle of June
when the sun should be shining and people start jetting off for their summer
holidays.
'Holiday' is a really catchy upbeat song that has a Supergrass sound
about it mixed with a bit of ska to make up The Ripps own indie-pop-punk-ska
sound. The song is my favourite track of their debut album and is a song
about having weekends away at the seaside and spending most of your time
drinking cheap beer in weatherspoons pubs. The single also features a
remix of 'Holiday' which is a more slowed down version of the song with
a few disco beats added in but lacks the catchiness of the original.
The future looks bright for The Ripps and 'Holiday' is going to be one
of the best anthems of the summer when the sun is shining and you want
to listen to an upbeat feel good song.
