Queens Of The Stone Age are back and ready to unleash their fourth studio
album 'Era Vulgaris' on the world and being a band who like to do things
differently. they have decided to release two singles on the 4th of June
the first being the download only single 'Sick, Sick, Sick' and the second
'3's and 7's' being the main single release.
'3's And 7's' is a powerful song full of huge guitar riffs and psychedelic
rhythms with Josh Homme's unique vocals sitting nicely on top, the song
finishes with a spot on a guitar outro.
'Sick, Sick, Sick' on the other hand is a more aggressive song and features
a more distorted industrial sound about it with Josh Homme being on top
of things again with his strong vocals and guitar riffs. Julian Casablancas
from The Strokes makes an appearance on the song playing guitar and throwing
in a bit vocals towards the end of the song, which makes a nice addition.
Out of the two single releases 'Sick, Sick, Sick' is my favourite song
out of the two due to the aggressive approach the song takes and '3's
And 7's' is the more radio friendly song out of the two which will do
the band good once it’s unleashed and on the airwaves. Judging from
these two single releases, Queens Of The Stone Age are on track to release
yet another stunning album.
5/5
