The Kaiser Chiefs released their second album 'Yours Truly, Angry Mob' back
in February which was met with mixed opinions from the bands fans and press
with some claiming it to be better than the debut and other being dissapointed
claiming it to be slightly boring nevertheless the album went platinum in
its first week of release and saw the band get their first number one single
with the ever so catchy but slightly repetitive single 'Ruby'. The Kaiser
Chiefs are now ready to release 'Everything Is Average Nowadays' as their
second single from their current album 'Yours Truly, Angry Mob'.
'Everything Is Average Nowadays' is my favourite song from the current
Kaiser Chiefs album and is the perfect song to be released as a single
and will most probably follow the success of 'Ruby'. It’s a totally
upbeat happy song with really cheesy lyrics and will appeal to the majority
of Radio 1 listeners and NME readers plus a whole host of other people
which can only help make the Kaiser Chiefs one of the biggest indie bands
around at the moment.
4/5
