Funeral For A Friend are back with a brand new single 'Into Oblivion' which
is the first single to be taken from the bands forthcoming album 'Tales
Don’t Tell Themselves'. I will be honest and admit I have never really
been a fan of FFAF mainly due to the ball breaking, tight jeaned, black
floppy fringed emo scene that they have been leading since they came on
the scene back in 2003. but since hearing 'Into Oblivion' I have realised
just how talented FFAF are and I now have a lot of catching up to do.
'Into Oblivion' has one of the best intros I have heard in a long time
starting off really mellow but soon catapulting into some great guitar
playing. The vocals are stunning with Matt Davies's opening vocals sounding
strangely quite similar to Charlie Simpson from Fightstar before his vocals
totally shine on the radio friendly, poppy chorus which is going to make
you want to leave this song on repeat.
The army of FFAF fans are going to love 'Into Oblivion' and I’m
pretty sure they are going to gain many new fans with the amount of airtime
the song is going to get. I for one can’t wait to hear the bands
forthcoming third studio album 'Tales Don’t Tell Themselves' once
it’s released on the 14th May, which gives me just enough time to
catch up on the bands earlier stuff.
5/5
