Two Cow Garage are a three piece band from Ohio, USA who play classic American
rock and roll and have been influenced by artists such as Dinosaur Jr, Bruce
Springsteen, Johnny Cash and many others. The band are forever touring,
managing to clock up over 200 shows every year in the USA, and now the bands
third album 'Three' is completed and ready to be released the band have
vowed to tour relentlessly around the world to give their music to the rest
of the world.
The band cover quite lot of themes in 'Three' such as how bad things
are when you are forever touring and away from home, how easy it can be
to become a self centred person, how things could be worse if you chose
a different path in life etc.
To be honest this isn’t the type of music I would normally listen
to but Two Cow Garage do have talent and do play some good rock music
that verges on the country side of music in places. 'Shelby' opens up
the album and is an assault of guitars, drums and bass with some raw sounding
scruffy vocals over the top that you are either going to love or hate
but either way it works well with the bands sound. 'No shame' is a song
about having no shame in just giving up and walking away, the vocals work
really well over the slowly toned down guitars. 'Should've California'
is a song about how things could of been different if you chose a different
path in life such as going to college and getting a good education instead
of spending all your time in a rock and roll band. The song is very mellow
and verging onto a ballad that will leave you singing along.
Overall Two Cow Garage are going to be a band that you either have time
for or don’t, I think the band do have talent and are obviously
enjoying what they do and are going to carry on doing what they do no
matter if they make money or lose money from it, but Two cow Garage are
just not for me and I really cant see them ever growing on me.
2/5
