Devildriver have been a band for nearly 15 years now and in that time they have been extremely hard working releasing a new studio album every two years and touring all over the world with their own headline tours and stopping off at festivals along the way and now they are gearing up to release their seventh studio album ‘Trust No One’ an album which has the potential to give the band the recognition they truly deserve.
‘Trust No One’ is easily one of the most accessible albums from Devildriver to date as it’s big, loud, heavy and has one hell of a catchy side to it and in general everything fits together ever so perfect as the album flows with one riff-tastic anthem after another from start to finish as Dez Fafara and co have gone out and created ten outstanding tracks.
The album opens with an impressive guitar solo in ‘Testimony Of Truth’ and moments later Dez Fafara comes in with his fast paced vocals. ‘Bad Deeds’ see’s the aggression turned up a notch or two as Devildriver smash their way through this fast paced metal anthem. For me the stand out track on the album has to be the title track ‘Trust No One’ which is an all-out insane assault of heavy music as Devildriver give it their all and deliver one of the best tracks they have created in their career.
With ‘Trust No One’ Devildriver have gone out and delivered an album which is a full on hectic assault of pure metal mayhem and is so enjoyable blasting through my speakers yet I have a feeling that the album will be a whole new experience on the live circuit and even more enjoyable, well done Devildriver you have just released the album of your career and provided myself and many fans a soundtrack for the next few months or so.
