Cheap Meat recently signed to Hassle Records and have just released their new EP 'The Parts That Show' which features the band rocking put for just over 10 minutes as they smash their way through 4 rock-tastic tracks.
The EP opens with the title track 'The Parts That Show' which reminds me so much of early Weezer material as the band knock out some tasty riffs whilst also laying down some top drum beats and not to forget the standout oozing vocals.
'The Distance Between You And Me' carries on that Weezer vibe nicely whilst 'Sweetness, Take Me Back' sees the band up their game with heavier riffs and a more overall pop-rock groove as the guitars take center stage creating some epic sounds whilst vocally things become that little more catchy and in your face.
The EP comes to a close with 'For A Moment' a song which really shows off the band song writing and preforming skills as they go all out and proper come together creating such heavy yet uplifting sounds.
Overall 'The Parts That' is an EP which really shows off the potential of Cheap Meat, the band are very mature sounding and know how to pen ear pleasing tracks and it will be interesting to see if in the future they can pull the same off on a bigger scale as they work on a full length album
