Amelia Lily finished third in the eighth series
of the X Factor which ran in 2011 and since then
she has tried her best to launch her music career
on the mainstream with releases of singles ‘You
Bring Me Joy’, ‘Shut Up (And Give
Me Whatever You Got’ and ‘Party Over’
with the first single hitting number 2 in the
official UK charts the second reaching number
11 and the third just hitting the charts at number
40, now a year or so on Amelia Lily is back and
has left Sony Records and just signed to Warner
Records and is just about to release her new super
bouncy summer anthem ‘California’.
‘California’ is a lot different than
the previous singles that Amelia Lily has released
and is more of a straight up pop anthem, it is
big and powerful and catchy from start to finish,
seriously after a couple of listens you won’t
be able to shake the infectious sounds of ‘California’
out of year head as you sing “Cause you’re
in California and I’m in London City tell
me what I have done to deserve this’ along
with Amelia Lily.
When you think back to the X Factor Amelia Lily
always came across as a fun artists who should
of easily won the competition and it seems that
after a few years in the music industry and a
slight disaster with Sony Records who scrapped
her debut album, Amelia Lily seems to be back
bigger and better than before and I am pretty
sure that when ‘California’ drops
on the 24th August it is going to storm to the
top of the charts and help make her debut album
one of the most anticipated albums of the year
as Amelia Lily has put so much into writing her
debut album and I believe the release of ‘California’
is the start of something special for her.
