The Dissapointments - Reasons To RevoltThe Disappointments - Reasons To Revolt

The Disappointments released their download only debut single 'No Charades' at the end of March 07, the song has a political theme such as bands like Anti-Flag and Rise Against have these days but this song had a more fast and furious old skool punk sound about them. The band are now ready to release their debut ep.

'Reasons to Revolt' is a 6 track ep that is full of short but fast and furious punk songs that are totally full of attitude. The EP opener and title track 'Reasons to Revolt' is only 1 minute and 10 seconds long but brings back the old skool punk rock sound from bands like Snuff and Rancid, it’s totally fast with an angry sound. Track two, 'Less Than Three' is double the length of the previous track and starts off with a drumming introduction before the guitars and bass soon kick in. The song has quite a catchy sing a long feeling about it as well. 'No Charades' is the bands current single and is a fast catchy song with some killer guitar riffs.

Not every song on the album is about being fast and furious like the more toned down 'Investigater' which is a lot different than the rest of the ep and the more I listen to it the more it reminds me of old Rancid material mainly due to the change of vocals.

As I said with the single release of 'No Charades', this band surly know how to write good songs and play them at a good pace as well as being full of attitude, and considering the band members are only seventeen years old they have a lot of time to better themselves and will most probably be around for a long time.

4/5
