The Black Veil Brides are quickly becoming one
of the hardest working and most talked about rock
bands around they released their debut album ‘We
Stitch These Wounds’ back in 2010 which
was followed up by ‘Set The World On Fire’
in 2011 and the massive concept album ‘Wretched
And Divine’ in 2013 whilst also touring
across the world many times over in between releases
and now the band are currently in the studio working
on album number 4 which is currently scheduled
for release at the end of the year but in the
meantime front man Andy Biersack has recently
announced his Andy Black solo side project which
see’s his influences of Depeche Mode and
Sisters Of Mercy thrown into his own solo offerings.
‘They Don’t Need to Understand’
is the first song to be released under the Andy
Black moniker and it is a dark sounding song which
sounds so different from anything he has done
with the Black Veil Brides and the more you listen
to the song the more you start to fall in love
with it as Andy Black seriously has a knack of
drawing you in especially with the Kings Of Leon
‘Use Somebody’ vibe running throughout
and the powerful chorus which has Andy Black singing
“We’re always running away, and we
don’t even stop to think about it, the world’s
in our hands, yeah they don’t need to understand,
we do it our own way, no matter what they try
to say about it, we’ve got our own plans,
yeah, they don’t need to understand”.
It really doesn’t matter what your opinion
on the Black Veil Brides is I feel that everyone
should give ‘They Don’t Need To Understand’
a listen as it shows a side from Andy Biersack
that we have never seen before and it is a truly
honest and personal song from him with the accompanying
video features snippets of Andy’s teenage
life as he shows of his new found vocal techniques.
