Linkin Park have an extremely busy summer ahead
of them as they are set to play 6 European festivals
throughout June including a performance at the
legendary Download festival at Donington Park
and then they are off on tour across America with
30 Seconds To Mars which is going to be a blockbuster
of a tour and their forthcoming sixth studio album
is also due to drop some time this year and to
give their fans a little feel of what can be expected
of that album Linkin Park have just revealed their
new single ‘Guilty All The Same’.
‘Guilty All The Same’ is a 6 minute
running masterpiece which see’s Linkin Park
back at their nu-metal best, the 1minute 30seconds
instrumental introduction is truly epic and see’s
the band go on a massive jamming session with
some of the best riffs that the band have had
to offer in years, the vocals from Chester Bennington
come in at the 1minute 35seconds mark and straight
away he is on top form with mellow singing which
quickly builds up to more in your face vocals
as the song builds up to the chorus with Bennington
singing out “Your guilty all the same, Too
sick to be ashamed, you want to point your finger,
but there’s no one else to blame”
and towards the middle of the song guest rapper
Rakim make’s a appearance for a long running
solid sounding rap before Bennington comes back
in screaming out “Your guilty all the same”
whilst Brad Delson and Mike Shinoda really go
for it with their guitar riffs right up until
the song comes to an end.
When it comes to releasing new material Linkin
Park never stick to the same formula and always
like to mix things up and this time they have
come up with one of the most solid songs they
have wrote in many years, it is instantly accessible
and as close sounding as you are going to get
to the ‘Hybrid Theory’ day’s
whilst also sounding so far off from it at the
same time.
