Cambridge rockers The Treatment are back with
their second studio album ‘Running With
The Dogs’ which is due for release on Spinefarm
Records any day now and the album features 13
truly rocking tracks that sound so loud and fun
that it could give both AC/DC and Airbourne a
run for their money, two bands who The Treatment
are heavily influenced by and the later of the
two being the band that The Treatment finished
2013 on the road supporting across the UK on a
massive 11 date tour.
Now if you have heard the debut album ‘This
Might Hurt’ from The Treatment then you
may well be thinking that you know what to expect
from their latest album but you will be proven
very wrong as with ‘Running With The Dogs’
The Treatment improve on their debut in every
single way.
The album opens with ‘I Bleed Rock N Roll’
a song which sounds so similar and powerful to
any song from the AC/DC back catalogue, the song
is a big forceful number with a massive bouncy
riff taking centre stage gracing the airways in
such a positive way as the band go all out rocking
through the 3minute duration of the song and throughout
the 3minutes everything sounds so perfect from
the constant drum beats, mouth watering guitar
solos and also Matt Jones vocals which cover such
a massive range.
‘Drop Like A Stone’ follows on perfectly
from the opening track as it comes charging towards
you at a pace of 100 miles per hour as The Treatment
seriously unleash their energy and show what they
are all about, the song once again runs for just
over 3minutes and in that time The Treatment seriously
do give it their all as the song sounds like a
massively energetic live recording even though
it was recorded in the comfort of a studio.
‘Get The Party On’ sounds similar
to what glam rock bands like Motley Crue, Hanoi
Rocks and many other bands were doing back in
the day . The album title track ‘Running
With the Dogs’ is a big rock N roll track,
whilst ‘The Outlaw’ starts off sounding
like something from an old western movie and within
moments the track has had a complete turnaround
with the band going all out making as much noise
in the quickest time possible.
There are no weak moments on the album as each
and every track has something positive going for
and the riff tastic ‘What Is There To Say’
and ‘Don’t Get Mad Get Evil’
and also the dreamy acoustic driven ‘Unchain
My World’ which are featured at the end
of the album are equally as amazing sounding as
the opening tracks and as soon as they grace the
airways you will be quick to reach the play button
again in order to hear this rocking album in its
entirety again.
Since their formation in 2008 The Treatment have
managed to travel all over the world and shared
the stage with some great bands from Steel Panther,
Alice Cooper, Motorhead, Airbourne, Kiss, Motley
Crue and even heading to Japan to play Ozzfest
2013 alongside Black Sabbath and Slipknot and
you can tell that this touring experiences has
worked wonders for them as with ‘Running
With the Dogs’ they have managed to create
an album in the studio that sounds like it was
recorded at a live show which is great stuff as
after hearing the album you will be left wanting
to see these guys live and if that is the case
you don’t have long to wait as The Treatment
are back on the road in the UK in February with
the fantastic Cage The Gods in support.
