Buckcherry have been going for 15 years and in
that time they have put out 6 albums and toured
across the world many times whilst also playing
at all the big metal festivals across the world
and now the band are set to put out their first
ever best of album which also coincides with their
return to the UK for headline shows in November.
It is safe to say that over the years the Buckcherry
ride has been a bit of a rollercoaster one with
the band going through various different line-up
changes, going on long hiatus for the best part
of 4 years but despite all the lows Buckcherry
have always managed to release catchy sounding
rock N roll songs.
If you are a fan of Buckcherry then you pretty
much already know what to expect from ‘The
Best Of’ but if you are new to the band
then you are in for a treat as the likes of ‘Ridin’,
‘Crazy Bitch’, ‘Gluttony’,
‘All Night Long’, ‘Next To you’
are all here in their original fast paced format
and within moments of each and every one of these
songs gracing the airwaves you will find it hard
not to air guitar along and dance around like
an idiot. Whilst the likes of ‘Sorry’
and ‘Nothing Left But Tears’ show
the more serious side of Buckcherry as the tone
things down and go down the more soppy bluesy
sounding ballad route.
As a compilation of the best songs Buckcherry
have released in their career so far the album
does exactly what it says on the tin but I have
to admit that it is slightly disappointing that
Buckcherry have not managed to add any brand new
songs or rare b-sides to the compilation which
most bands are doing these days to make their
best of a worthwhile purchase for hardcore fans
and new admirers to the band, but with their latest
studio album ‘Confessions’ being released
only 8 months ago you can kind of forgive them
for this.
