After catching Sonic Boom Six at Hit The Deck
Festival in Bristol I have become a huge fan of
the band as on the day they put a show on which
truly blew me away it was pure energetic and mesmerizing
with the whole band having a party on stage whilst
laying down their ska/rock/reggae sounds, and
since then the band have gone on to embark on
a couple of tours across the UK including appearances
at various festivals across the country and now
they are set to release their new single ‘High
Cost Of Living’.
‘High Cost Of Living’ is the fourth
single to be taken from their self titled fourth
studio album and it is an absolute party anthem,
the song title may not suggest so but the music
really does do the talking hear as the band lay
down their upbeat sound which features chugging
guitar riffs, a solid bass line, big electronic
beats, Laila-K laying down sugary sweet vocals
whilst Barny breaks out with his more aggressive
rap meets rock vocals as the band pretty much
put everything into making the song a big aggressive
pop-rock-dubstep number.
Sonic Boom Six are a very diverse sounding band
who mix together various different musical styles
where they create an album where each and every
song is different from the last and just looking
back at the singles released from the current
album is proof as they are all so different but
this is easily the strongest single of the lot
and is due for release on the 27th October through
Xtra Mile Recordings.
