Here we legendary skateboard legend and punk Duane Peters with his band
The Hunns. The band formed in 2000 and have been through a few line up
changes in their time before settling on their current line up. They are
a fast, old-style, hard-edged punk rock band with a melodic base that
gets you moving.
This recording is live from the Vans Warped tour 2004 and features twelve
tracks. Starting off with "Hunns Anthem", this has a great intro'
which shows us what the band is all about. Then you blast into "Love
And Hate" which is really raw old-school punk sounding and makes
you want to go crazy, jumping about. The cd features many more great tracks
such as "Time Has Come Today" which keeps the old-school style
but gets you singing along. "Tragedy" and "Wild" are
awesome tracks as well. The cd even finishes off with a great cover of
hardcore punk cover of "Van Halen" "Ain't Talkin' 'Bout
Love".
Like all the Beyond Warped series, this cd comes with a dvd side which
shows the bands whole performance in video format and also has interviews
with the band and other extra media footage.
Its good to see old-school punk rock still around and being played so
good with such energy.
4/5
