Bath based rockers Decade are having a great month
as they have just come off tour supporting Emily’s
Army, they have also just signed to Spinefarm
Records and are also set to play the Reading and
Leeds festival in a couple of weeks which has
been one of their dreams since they were kids.
Decade are currently busy working on their debut
album but have found time to release the lead
single ‘Brainfreeze’ from the album,
lyrically the song is quite personal for Decade
and is about having low thoughts and how you should
deal with them, musically things are more clean
cut and straight forward sounding than earlier
Decade material, the song has a big pop-rock sound
with a huge chorus which has been written to be
blasted from radios across the country as Alex
Sears sings “Head down on my knees, Trying
to find a way to cure this Brainfreeze, Tell me
this ache is going away today, Tell me something,
tell me you’re the same”, instrumentally
things aren’t as clean cut as there are
some fantastic riffs off offer which pack almighty
punches.
After their performances at Reading and Leeds
in a couple of weeks Decade have a month off before
heading out on tour with Tonight Alive as they
do all they can to boost their fanbase before
taking 2014 by storm when their forthcoming debut
album drops, which should be worth the wait if
‘Brainfreeze’ is anything to go by.
