It has been 4 years since AFI released their last
studio album ‘Crash Love’ and the
band are now busy working on their as yet untitled
ninth studio album but have just surprised their
fans with the release of their comeback single
‘I Hope You Suffer’.
‘I Hope You Suffer’ is easily one
of the best songs that I have heard within the
last couple of months, it’s big, aggressive,
punchy, extreme catchy and a much welcomed return
to the bands more darker sound, the song starts
off well but it is the moment that Davey Havok
shouts out “I Hope You Suffer” over
and over again during the fist in the air chant-a-long
chorus that you become hooked in the song and
and quickly hit the repeat button so you can chant-a-long
in time with Havok again and again.
If AFI manage to maintain the sound of ‘I
Hope You Suffer’ throughout their forthcoming
studio album then they are going to have another
solid album under their belts and also have an
extremely exciting and busy couple of years ahead
of them.
