Over the years Panic! At The Disco have had what
feels like a big rollercoaster ride as they instantly
found success in 2005 with their debut album ‘A
Fever You Can’t Sweat Out’ but from
that moment things seemed to be against the band
as they ended up getting bottled at festivals,
members left the band, their sound changed slightly
and also their name with the exclamation point
being dropped from the band’s name which
ended up being the big conversation starter in
any Panic! At The Disco interview, luckily for
Panic! At The Disco they are back on tracks, the
exclamation mark is back, the band are now a trio
with touring members brought in to create a full
band for the live shows and their forth studio
album ‘Too Weird To Live, Too Rare To Die!’
is due for release in October.
In the meantime Panic! At The Disco have just
unleashed their new single ‘Miss Jackson’,
and it oddly sounds quite a lot like the recent
material that Fall Out Boy have just released
but then again it is quite easy to see why as
both bands have recruited producer Butch Walker
to work on their albums. Musically the song is
a step away from previous Panic! At The Disco
songs, however this time around I feel that Panic!
At The Disco have truly found a sound which suits
them and a sound that the fans are going to dig
and hope runs throughout the whole of ‘Too
Weird To Live, Too Rare To Die!’, the song
is extremely catchy but not in the way that their
debut album was catchy, also the more you listen
to ‘Miss Jackson’ the more in will
become stuck in your head.
It is safe to say that Panic! At The Disco are
back on tracks and there is a lot of hype surrounding
album number 4 on the back of this single and
it is about time as Panic! At The Disco have had
a couple of tough years and now it is their time
to shine again.
