Taking Back Sunday - TAYF10 AcousticTaking Back Sunday – TAYF10 Acoustic

When Taking Back Sunday blasted onto the scene back in 2002 with their debut album ‘Tell All Your Friends’ the post-hardcore scene went into a mad frenzy with the album getting rave reviews across the board and people snapping the album up making it one of the greatest post-hardcore albums of its time and thinking back now all ten tracks on the album had the potential to be released as singles as the 33minute running album was solid from start to finish.

Back in 2012 Taking Back Sunday embarked on a tour across American playing ‘Tell All Your Friends’ in its entirety to mark the tenth anniversary of the album release, the tour was extremely successful and luckily for everyone who was or wasn’t in attendance Taking Back Sunday captured the key moments of the tour and have now created a live CD/DVD bundle called ‘TAYF10 Acoustic’ which features the whole of ‘Tell All Your Friends’ played live and acoustic in the form of a CD and DVD yet the DVD has various bonus content such as back stage footage, mini interviews and also a lot of interaction between the band and the crowd as they talk about the history of Taking Back Sunday.

It is great to hear the likes of ‘You Know How I Do’, ‘Bike Scene’, ‘Cute Without The E (Cut From The Team)’, ‘Ghost Man On Third’, ‘Great Romances Of The 20th Century’, ‘Timberwolves Of New Jersey’ in acoustic format yet it is even better to see them played acoustic to see the passion the band put into every moment and the joy that the fans give out as Adam Lazzara and co play this stripped down classic songs.

‘TAYF10 Acoustic’ is an essential purchase for all Taking Back Sunday fans as it is good to hear the classic songs played in a stripped down format and it is also good to hear the various different stories that Taking Back Sunday have to share within the footage, the band are currently hard at work on album number 6 and I am sure this will keep the fans entertained until the new material is ready to be heard.
