Northern rockers Last Transmission are set to
release their debut EP ‘All The Time In
The World’ on the 17th June, the band are
influenced by the likes of Foo Fighters, Manic
Street Preachers, Alter Bridge and Jimmie Eat
World and you can clearly pick up on how these
influences have helped the band craft their sound.
‘All The Time In The World’ opens
with ‘All you Left behind’ a track
which sounds like the Foo Fighters meets Jimmie
Eat world with a cheeky bit of English flare,
vocally the song is very melodic as Michael Blackwell
lays down some spot on vocals, whilst instrumentally
the band go all out laying down alt rock riffs
and beats.
‘Anything To Anyone’ is more of a
toned down yet as the song progresses you can
just hear the strong musicianship on offer as
the band come together and the song really starts
to shine when the more upbeat vocals come in at
the 2minute 22second mark which leads the way
for more rock n roll riffage.
‘Mess You Make’ is quite a nice noisy
offering whilst ‘24’ stands out the
most on the EP as everything from the vocals to
the instrumental work is just spot on and ‘Separate
Ways’ closes the EP in a positive way with
its catchy yet rocky edge.
Last Transmission are a talented four piece band
and their debut offering ‘All The Time In
The World’ is well worth checking out, is
it going to make them super stars? Probably not
, but it is going to put them on the map for a
successful 2013.
