Priestess are a new 4 piece band on the horizon hailing from Canada. The
band are currently touring around America as a support band to Mastodon
and they are clearly going to go down a storm with the Mastodon fans as
they have such a powerful rock and roll sound.
'I Am The Night, Colour Me Black' starts off with such a powerful introduction
of heavy guitar riffs and blistering drum beats for just over 40 seconds
before Mikey Heppner's vocals kick in. the music throughout the whole
song is killer with powerful riffs everywhere. The b-side 'Run Home' on
the other hand is a really mellow song with quite a powerful chorus and
a song that grows the more you listen to it but it still lacks the goodness
of the main single.
Priestess are a fresh new band who surely know how to work hard, No sooner
had they finished touring with Black Label Society they were back on the
road with Mastodon. The bands debut album 'Hello Mister' is released in
the UK towards the end of May and the band are also planning on touring
the UK in May. Priestess are definitely worth checking out as they have
the potential to become pretty big.
