Funeral For A Friend have just announced that
they have finished working with Romesh Dodangoda
on their sixth studio album ‘Conduit’
which is due for release on the 28th January 2013
and instead of making fans wait until the new
year to hear any new music they have just unleashed
their new single ‘Best Friends And Hospital
Beds’.
‘Best Friends And Hospital Beds’ is
a song which pretty much everyone in the world
can relate to as it is about friendship and death
which everyone is going to experience at some
point in their life, musically the song is a short
burst of frantic energy running at just under
the 3minute mark, it’s a lot heavier than
the songs on their last couple of albums and part
of me thinks this is down to ex Rise To Remain
drummer Pat Lundy becoming the permanent Funeral
For A Friend drummer as he makes a massive impact
here with a mad flurry of drum beats, whilst Matt
Davies vocals take you on a mad rollercoaster
ride.
It seems that Funeral For A Friend are back bigger
and better than ever with a whole new lease of
life and a slight change of direction which takes
them back to their heavier early days, roll on
January 2013 when ‘Conduit’ is unleashed
on the world.
