After releasing a couple of shocking solo albums
Gwen Stefani regrouped with her friends and band
members in No Doubt and after playing a few festivals
and one off shows over the past couple of years
No Doubt have just finished work on their sixth
studio album ‘Push And Shove’ and
whilst we wait for the album to be released on
the 24th September No Doubt have just released
their comeback single ‘Settle Down’
which also happens to be the first track to be
taken from ‘Push And Shove’.
‘Settle Down’ is a much welcomed returned
for No Doubt and it seems that time away from
the band focusing on her solo career has not harmed
Stefani’s performance in No Doubt as she
is back at the top of her game with a massive
set of vocals that come at you like a ray of sunshine,
musically the song has elements of ska and reggae
and will have you dancing away like your life
depends on it, whilst lyrically things are well
written and within seconds you get the feeling
that no one is going to knock Stefani and co down.
It has been a long time coming but it is great
to have No Doubt back creating new music as ‘Settle
Down’ is a big welcome to form for the band
and has left me feeling extremely positive for
‘Push And Shove’ which is their first
studio album in over 10 years .
5/5
