Turbonegro - Sexual HarassmentTurbonegro – Sexual Harassment

Bam Margera’s second favourite band Turbonegro are back with ‘Sexual Harassment’ which is their first studio album in 5 years and they are back to take their self proclaimed ‘Deathpunk’ style of music even further whilst showing the world that they don’t like to take things to serious with some extremely random song topics and lyrical content.

‘Sexual Harassment’ see’s Turbonegro taking on a slightly different line up with Tony Sylvester taking on vocal duties from Hans Erik Dyvik Husby who departed the band back in 2010, and Tommy Manboy taking on drumming duties which falls in line with the history of Turbonegro where they recruit a new drummer every couple of years.

The album opens with ‘I Got A Knife’ and straight away you notice that Turbonegro sound slightly different than before and that is because of the change of singer, Tony Sylvester has a set of vocals so similar to Lemmy from Motorhead the only difference is that Sylvester can actually sing and helps bring Turbonegro a more full on rocking sound.

In true form Turbonegro maintain the silliness they have always carried with the band with song titles such as ‘Shake Your Shit Machine’ which happens to be one of the catchiest tracks on the album which I am sure is going to quickly rise to become a fan favourite, ‘Dude Without A Face’ which has an extremely repetitive yet catchy chorus and ‘Tight Jeans’ Loose Leash’ which features some killer riffs and majorly used power chords to rock out.

Turbonegro already have an impressive back catalogue of music and ‘Sexual Harassment’ features 10 more classic tracks to be added to that catalogue of music and is a much welcome come back from the band after spending 5 years away from the scene.

4/5
