Black Sabbath are set to play their comeback gig
at the Academy in Birmingham on Saturday and this
happens to be a warm up show for their massive headline
appearance at Download festival this year where
they are set to close the festival on Sunday 10th
June and to coincide with this Universal Music are
putting out another best of Black Sabbath titled
‘Iron Man The Best Of Black Sabbath’.
‘Iron Man The Best Of Black Sabbath’
is only getting an UK release and that is because
Black Sabbath are handled by other record companies
across the world and this release is more aimed
at new fans who are attending the forthcoming
UK shows.
Now ‘Iron Man The Best Of Black Sabbath’
features exactly the same track listing as the
bands previous best of album but that album is
now being withdrawn from sale with the new compilation
replacing it, if you already own the original
greatest hits then I would bother wasting your
money on the same tracks with a slightly different
bit of artwork but if you are yet to own a Black
Sabbath greatest hits album or don’t know
where to start when it comes to Black Sabbath
then seriously snap this up as it has all the
great songs from ‘Paranoid’, ‘War
Pigs’, ‘Iron Man’, ‘The
Wizard’, ‘Changes’ and many
others.
Overall ‘Iron Man The Best Of Black Sabbath’
is a blatant cash in from the record label who
hope fans will snap it up in their thousands on
the back of the comeback shows but musically it
is solid sounding and well worth the money if
you don’t own these classic songs.
4/5
