Freeze The Atlantic are a slight new British supergroup
made up of Guy Davis from Reuben, Andy Gilmour
from Hundred Reasons and their friends Tom Stevens,
Chris Knott and Sean Shreeve the band have recently
signed to Alcopop records and have just released
their first single ‘Volcanoes’.
In ‘Volcanoes’ you can really hear
the influences of both Reuben and Hundred Reasons
but at the same time it also manages to stand
alone and happens to be quite ballsy rocking guitar
driven single, which has powerfull drum bears
and powerful vocals to back it up.
The B-side is ‘The Colour’ and it’s
slightly different sounding from the main single
and happens to be quite a big sing-a-long track
which relies more on the melodic vocals than it
does the instrumental work but saying that there
are still some tasty riffs on offer here.
I feel that Freeze The Atlantic have done well
with this debut single release and it will be
good to see what else they have in store for us
when their debut album drops.
