It feels that Seether have been away from England
and more importantly the music scene for many
years now but luckily they are back with a new
album ‘Holding Onto Strings Better Left
To Fray’ which is released on the 5th March
but in the meantime they are releasing their brand
new single ‘Country Song’ on the 27th
February which is a teaser of what can be expected
from the studio album.
‘Country Song’ is a very interesting
come back as it is quite different from previous
Seether material and see’s the band mix
their well known rock brand with a slight country
music edge, the song has a slight tease factor
where things sound very mellow and average but
the song builds up and when it gets going and
hit’s its peak there are some beefy riffs
on offer and infectious vocals but then the song
goes back to the opening mellow feel whilst the
song builds up again and repeats the process.
I am sure that after a few listens most fans of
Seether will love ‘Country Song’ but
it is defiantly one of those song’s in which
you can’t make your mind up on during the
first listen and if you did you would be stupid
as ‘Country Song’ happens to be quite
a grower.
