I have never been a huge fan of the Kaiser Chiefs but I did enjoy 'I Predict
A Riot', 'Oh My God' and a couple of other songs from their 'Employment'
album. So when I got the bands new single 'Ruby' which is taken from the
bands forthcoming album 'Yours Truly, Angry Mob' through the door I was
quite interested to see what it was like.
'Ruby' is a really catchy indie song and the chorus will stick in your
head forever like most Kaiser Chief songs, but what I do find is the song
gets a bit repetitive and is a bit of a let down considering the quality
of the bands previous material but I’m sure the fans will love it
and will become a big sing a long song when the bands on tour.
With a pretty average come back single, it will be interesting to see
what the forthcoming Kaiser Chief album has to offer when it’s released
at the end of February.
3.5/5
