You Me At Six - Bite My TongueYou Me At Six – Bite My Tongue

You Me At Six have recently released album number three ‘Sinners Never Sleep’ which has been their most successful release to date entering the album chart at number 3, and the band are now ready to release their new single ‘Bite My Tongue’ which features Oli Sykes from Bring Me The Horizon adding a dark twisted edge to the track.

‘Bite My Tongue’ is a great track, it opens up with a big catchy radio friendly feel but as soon as the vocals from Ili Sykes comes in towards the end of the track you know for sure that You Me At Six are not out looking for radio airplay but instead they are showing just how far they have moved away from the poppy roots of their debut album ‘Take Off Your Colours’ and that they are an alternative band that needs to be taken seriously.

The vocals from Oli Skyes are brief but very welcome and it really does show off a dark edge of You Me At Six that has never been seen before and it is quite interesting hearing the vocals of Josh Franceschi and Oli Skyes so close together.

With each album release the sound of You Me At Six has changed more and more and if ‘Bite My Tongue’ is anything to go by then You Me At Six could quite well have an heavy future ahead of them.

5/5
