The Amity Affliction are a five piece band from
Australia who formed back in 2002, the band have
recently inked a deal with Roadrunner Records who
are set to re-release their ‘Youngbloods’
any time now and to coincide with the singing and
the re-release of the album they are also releasing
the track ‘Youngblood’s as a single.
‘Youngbloods’ is one of the most
perfect written post-hardcore tracks I have heard
in a long time and that is good going considering
that the song is a good 18months old now, the
opening guitar riffs show off guitarists Troy
Brady’s technical guitar skills whilst the
duel vocals from Joel Birch and Ahren Stringer
work well together which Birch screaming his bollocks
off and Stringer showing us what clean vocals
are all about.
If you are looking for a big schizophrenic sounding
song then look no further than ‘Youngbloods’
from Amity Affliction as it features pretty much
everything you could imagine in the 3minutes and
50seconds it flows for.
5/5
