Is Tropical are a band that I have never been able
to take seriously and have never understood because
at their gigs they spend the time before they hit
the stage hanging around the bar but as soon as
they hit the stage they come on with their faces
covered up with hats, bandanas or pretty much anything
they can find which makes me wonder why bother if
everyone has seen your faces previously, anyway
back to the music Is Tropical are set to release
their third single ‘Lies’.
‘Lies’ is an electro pop single that
has the potential to be a dance floor filler as
everything from the beats to the vocals stands
out in a catchy way and will instantly make you
want to show off your jelly feet and jazz hands
to anyone in your path.
I have always thought that Is Tropical are trying
hard to be like The Klaxons mixed with Daft Punk
but despite having a knack to pen a catchy dance
number they still have a long way to go to even
come close to the dizzy heights of these bands.
