Everyone’s favourite shock rockers are back
with their second studio album ‘Balls Out’
and the first single to be taken from the album
is ‘If You Really Really Love Me’ which
is out on the 6th November which coincides with
the bands headline show at the Electric Ballroom
in London a day later.
‘If You Really Really Love Me’ opens
with lyrics of “If you really really love
me, then you gotta really really show me, don’t
whine when I put it in your booty or if I’m
up at night playing Call Of Duty” and just
from those opening lyrics you can tell that it
is a classic Steel Panther themed song which will
appeal to 90% of the male population as let’s
face it there aren’t many males around who
don’t check out booty’s and play Call
Of Duty, now back to the music, instrumentally
everything is spot on with a fantastic guitar
solo on offer and overall that whole 1980’s
hair metal vibe is running throughout.
Overall ‘If You Really Really Love Me’
is quite a laid back come back for Steel Panther
but when the song reaches the chorus it really
does get going and your breath will be taken away
with Satchel’s guitar solo, and if the lyrics
do not make you chuckle then you have obviously
lost your sense of humour.
4/5
